Coronavirus Update

Hello LBYBA Friends and Families,
We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented time.  We understand there are many other priorities and uncertainties outside of youth baseball right now; however, we have received some inquiries and want to provide updated information on the 2020 season.
The Lake Bluff Youth Baseball Association (LBYBA) will continue to follow the guidance and directives of federal, state and local authorities regarding social activities and youth athletics, including our baseball season.  The Shelter In Place directive for all IL residents is now in effect until April 30th.

2020 marks our 65th anniversary and we will do our best to play ball when permitted by government authorities. At this point, our Pancake Breakfast & Opening Day Ceremonies will not occur on April 11th, but we hope to reschedule for a later date.  The LBYBA volunteer Board has been actively planning for the season, including team building and scheduling, but will hold off on disseminating any details in case changes need to be made.  We hope you understand this decision and appreciate your support and patience.
Keep watching for email updates and you can also visit our website ( and our social media channels (Instagram: @lakebluffbaseball & Facebook: for information and updates.

Also, to keep the LBYBA spirit alive, please take pictures in your LB apparel, playing catch/baseball outside, etc and tag LBYBA (@lakebluffbaseball). With this spirit, those who have placed yard sign orders will soon have them delivered to your front yards.  Please tag a picture of your player(s) and their new sign too.  If you are still interested in a yard sign you may order one at:

LBYBA Mission

The mission of the Lake Bluff Youth Baseball Association is to teach the integrity of the game of baseball.  The programs of LBYBA focus on developing and improving players’ baseball skills but even more importantly, fostering good sportsmanship and building character for all participants.  We believe the life-lessons learned on the baseball field are critical tools for the development and growth of our children. As a volunteer-based community organization, we welcome your support, and treasure our community ties.
